This is a "Handyman's" project bike, being sold "as is" and is not represented as being in roadworthy condition, mechanically sound or maintained at any guaranteed level of quality. If you're mechanically competent and know your way around modern Japanese motorcycles, please read on, this may be the project bike for you.
-BACKGROUND-
This is a one owner motorcycle, sold by our Dealership in March, 2020. The bike was involved in a collision with an illegally parked car August, 2021 @ 12,059 km, and sustained severe right side engine damage and left fuel tank damage. No charges were laid against either parties and the owner paid us to change out the engine with a very low km, higher performance 2020 Z900 engine from a salvage yard. We also replaced what was necessary to make it mechanically sound, except for the damaged fuel tank. The owner continued to ride the bike and customized it by installing a fender eliminator kit, changed the front signals, rear signals and mirrors to after-market. He also removed the fuel tank emblems and safety reflectors. Unfortunately, all of the removed OEM parts were discarded since he saw no use for them at that time. Other than routine oil and filter changes, no other maintenance was done up to spring, 2026. The owner then approached us to purchase the bike back from him, since he was unable to pay for the repairs needed to make it roadworthy. When we purchased it, we changed out the worn out tires with used take offs from another bike and installed a good used battery.
-CURRENT CONDITION-
In it's present state, the bike does run and perform excellent. However, it does not pass safety. A cursory glance for parts and repairs deemed necessary for a safety, either worn, missing or non-compliant are: signals, mirrors, red rear side reflectors, rear fender, license plate light and torn seat repair. There may be more work necessary that wasn't uncovered during our initial glance.
-EVALUATION-
If this bike were in excellent condition with all OEM parts in place, no accident history and up-to-date maintenance records, resale value certified would be in the $7,500 to $8,000 range. This bike has no liens against it and is to be sold "as is". Test riding this bike before purchasing is permitted to serious buyers.
